Kahului Airport - the Gateway to Maui

As you walk through the very tropical-looking Kahului Airport, you sense your stay in Maui will be nothing less than spectacular. If the airport is this nice, then how beautiful is this island going to be? Short answer: gorgeous, stunning, amazing...the list could go on and on.

There are two additional airports in Maui. A smaller one is located in Kapalua in West Maui, and the other is a commuter airport in Hana.

Kahului Airport is situated three miles east of the city of Kahului. The largest city in Maui, Kahului supports a population slightly over 20,100 and is located in central Maui next to the north shore.

The airport is composed of two main runways and an asphalt helipad. It is currently undergoing several expansion phases that will eventually elevate it to an international airport with potential regular services routes from Canada and Japan.
