The Lahaina Cannery Mall

The Lahaina Cannery Mall is Maui's only enclosed and air conditioned shopping mall. I know, it's hard to believe in "paradise" there's only one enclosed and air conditioned mall. It goes to show that even in paradise life's not perfect--but definitely livable.

What used to be the historic Baldwin Packers pineapple cannery is now The Lahaina Cannery Mall which is opened from 9:30am to 9:00pm daily.

The tropical interior brings a little of the exotic outdoors--indoors. A nice bonus to the air conditioned space. A wide variety of shops range from home front favorites to island specialty and everything in-between.

You'll want to stop at The Pineapple Court (deliciously named) to rejuvenate after all the walking around you're sure to do. And if all that's not enough you might be lucky enough to see one of many free shows on the center stage including the children's hula class every Saturday and Sunday at 1:00pm and the Polynesian shows every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm.

Not sure how to get there? Jump on one of many shuttles that goes to and from the Mall to various hotels and condominiums. Check ahead for rates, times and pick-up locations.
