It is said that Maui Beaches are some of the best in the world.

Maui Beaches come in all shapes and sizes, as well as a variety of colors, including gold, green, black, red, garnet (dark/very dark red), salt and pepper, and white.

Maui has 120 miles of coastline, 81 accessible beaches (more than any other Hawaiian Island), and over 30 beaches with public facilities. As with any beach, you should always follow beach safety rules and guidelines, such as always swimming with a buddy, and knowing the conditions of the surf before you swim.

Here we have begun a list of some of our favorite Maui Beaches.

Hookipa Beach

Maui's North Shore is made up of three beaches: Kanaha Beach, Baldwin Beach and Hookipa Beach. Late in the afternoon as we were driving back from our visit to Hana and the Seven Sacred Pools (aka Ohea Gulch), we came upon Hookipa Beach, and I had to stop.

Kaanapali Beach

Kaanapali Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Maui and a family favorite. All three of our stays here in Maui have been in a condo or hotel along this beach, so we have made a lot of memories here. Black Rock, Kaanapali Beach, Maui
