West Maui 4th of July Celebration
July 4, 2007
at the Kaanapali Resorts in west Maui. Various fun all-day activities for both adults and children and will be provided free of charge.

Lahaina’s Old-Fashioned Fourth of July
Tuesday, July 4, 2007
. Stroll historic Lahaina and enjoy holiday specials in the many oceanfront restaurants and retail shops. For an old-fashioned Independence Day, listen to a variety of bands play in a free concert on the oceanfront Lahaina Library lawn starting at 5 pm. A fireworks display lighting the night sky over Lahaina is scheduled for 8 pm, which can be viewed from charter boats in Lahaina Harbor and on land throughout LahainaTown. Kapalua Wine & Food Festival
July 5-8, 2007
. The Kapalua Wine & Food Festival hosted by Fred Dame, Master Sommelier and President of the Court of Master Sommeliers, attracts world-famous winemakers, chefs and visitors to the Kapalua Resort for a series of wine tastings, festive gatherings and gourmet meals. Celebrating its 26th year, this nationally acclaimed food and wine extravaganza includes The Grand Tasting, an alfresco sampling of reserve bottlings and the popular "Kapalua Seafood Festival" featuring cuisine prepared by Hawaii's top chefs. Kapalua Junior Open Tennis Championship
July 13-16, 2007

2nd Annual Legacy Concert featuring Keali'i Reichel.
July 2007
(exact date TBA). Presented by The Maui Historical Society's Bailey House Museum. Enjoy an intimate and memorable evening of music and dance featuring Kealii Reichel on the grounds of the Bailey House Museum, site of the royal compound of Kahekili - Maui's last ruling chief. Pupus and an elegant dinner will be provided by the award-winning chefs from the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. The event is a benefit for the Maui Historical Society's Endowment Fund. Growing Dreams 2007 - Celebrations In Bloom
July 2007
(exact dates TBA) at the Four Seasons Resort in Wailea. One of the world's top floral designers will team up with leading fashion designers at the Four Seasons Resort in Wailea in late July for the 8th Annual Maui Youth & Maui Youth & Family Services Growing Dreams event. Paul Miller, AIFD, PFCI, Nature's Flowers Creative Director, will present a floral design demonstration in this year's event titled "Celebrations in Bloom." Tiffany & Co., a lively fashion show featuring Tamara Catz, Tommy Bahama, The Enchantress, and jewelry from Tiffany & Co. will highlight the day, which also includes a silent auction and a gourmet luncheon catered by The Four Seasons Maui. Relay For Life of Central Maui
July 2007
(exact dates TBA), 7 pm each night at the War Memorial Soccer Field, 580 Kaahumanu Avenue, Wailuku, 96793. A fun-filled overnight activity that mobilizes communities across the country to celebrate survivorship, remember those who lost their lives to cancer, and raise money for the fight against cancer. This is an American Cancer Society signature event. Maui International Paddleboard Race – “Honolua Maliko Run”
Sunday July 22, 2007.
A 9 mile paddleboard course that begins at Maliko Gulch on Maui’s North Shore, and follows the coastline west to Kahului Harbor. Co-Race Directors: Blair Thorndike & John Gangini. 11th Annual 32-mile Quiksilver Edition Molokai to Oahu Paddleboard Race
July 29, 2007.
This race is considered the world championship of paddleboard racing. It covers a distance of 32 miles from the island of Molokai to Oahu through the Kaiwi Channel. The race starts at Kaluakoi Beach, west Molokai at 7:30 am and finishes at Maunaloa Bay Beach Park in Hawaii Kai, on Oahu. Coral Spawning Spectacle
July 2007
(exact date/time TBA) at the Maui Ocean Center. Guests may be able to witness live spawning of rice coral in the romantic setting of aquarium after dark. The Coral Spawning Spectacle will include a special presentation on coral reproduction. Complimentary desserts and coffee will be served, and a cash bar will be available. The aquarium’s main exhibit, the Open Ocean Exhibit, will also be open, giving guests the rare opportunity of watching the sharks and rays during the transition from day to night. O-bon Dance
July 2007
(exact date TBA). The O-bon (or Bon) Dance is a Japanese Buddhist holiday to honor the departed spirits of one's ancestors, and will be held at Kahului Hongwanji in Kahului, Maui, starting at 8 p.m. For more information please call 808-871-4732.

18th Annual Ohana Luau
July 2007
(exact date TBA) from 4:30 to 8:00 pm at the Kihei Community Center. Presented by Hale Makua, a non-profit organization, this is their annual fund raising event. Enjoy a down-home luau, local song and humor, silent auction, and country store - all in a festive spirit of aloha and 'ohana. This years entertainment features Danny Couch, multitalented lyricist, musical composer, singer and performer, and winner of several Na Hoku Hanohano and Hawaiian Music awards. Also, Frank DeLima,one of Hawaii’s most popular, beloved, and award-winning comedians, and Kamakakehau, Maui’s hottest falsetto trio. Tickets are $45 for adults and $15 for keiki age 2-10 and are available at any Hale Makua location, or by calling 808-871-9214.
