Haiku Hoolaulea and Flower Festival Early March, 2007, at the Haiku Community Center on Hana Highway in Haiku.The Hoolaulea features live entertainment, a huge silent auction, bake sale, floral design contests & family fun. The festival also features a greatly expanded Haiku Living Legacy historical display, Arts & Crafts Show, locally grown Farmer's Market and community information booths. Ocean Arts Festival March 15-18, 2007 in Lahaina. Free admission. Lahaina celebrates the annual migration of Pacific Humpback whales with a tribute to ocean arts. On Thursday and Friday evenings, enjoy the Starbucks Ocean Film Festival beginning at 7:00 pm, including complimentary coffee. Thursday features educational presentations and video displays by world-renowned whale researchers and photographer Flip Nicklin. On Friday, a popular marine-themed movie will be screened. Both events are under the stars in Campbell Park, located next to The Wharf Cinema Center. On Saturday and Sunday in Banyan Tree Park from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, artists display their best ocean-themed art for sale, while Hawaiian musicians and student performing bands entertain.
