84th Maui County Fair September 28 – October 1, 2006 at 211 Kanaloa Avenue, Wailuku (the War Memorial Gymnasium parking lot). The Fair is a nonprofit organization supported entirely by corporate sponsorship, local donations, and volunteers. The Fair is also theprimary source of funding for many of Maui’s nonprofit and communityorganizations. Aloha Festivals Ho’olaule’a Block Party Saturday, October 7, 2006. This signature Aloha Festivals event in Lahaina features Maui's Royal Court, Hawaiian food, island arts and crafts on display and for sale. Aloha Team Classic October 17 – 22, 2006 at the Kapalua Resort. Beyond the Rainbow Foundation helps Maui’s youth realize the promise of their future. An Evening of Stars III Masquerade Ball Saturday, October 21, 2006 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm at the Iao Theater in Wailuku, 21 and older only. You don't want to miss the scariest house on this side of Transylvania! Plus, cocktails, live music, outdoor chef's dinner, theatrical entertainment, prizes and surprizes, costumes or evening attire (masks for sale at the event). Halloween In Lahaina Tuesday, October 31, 2006. The Legend of Halloween, celebrated since 1990, is more than just a night on the town in costume! Over 30,000 revelers come to Front Street on Halloween night, which is closed to vehicle traffic from 3:00 pm to midnight. Annual children's costume parade down Front Street at 5:00 pm kicks-off the evening. Other features are crafters, activities and food booths, live music and dancing. LahainaTown sponsors The Maui Tacos Halloween Costume Contest in Banyan Tree Park that begins at 7:00 pm. Restaurants and retail merchants offer costume contests throughout the evening. Shopping centers feature Haunted Houses for kids during the week.
